The Herdade Canal Caveira, was awarded among the best national wines, with the silver medal, in the 8th edition of the prestigious Concurso Vinhos de Portugal, with the Regional Red Wine Península de Setúbal, Serra Brava Selected Harvest 2018.
There were 1,408 wines that were under evaluation at the 8ª edição do Concurso Vinhos de Portugal. This initiative started on Monday, May 17th, at the CNEMA facilities, in Santarém. In this phase, and over three days, the registered wines were evaluated by 134 national and international judges, composed of specialists in Portuguese and international wines, including winemakers, sommeliers, journalists, wine educators and other professions related to the sector.
On the 20th and 21st of May, the Grand Jury met in Setúbal, for the second phase of the contest, selecting the Big Diamonds and the Best in the Year. The winners were announced at the Award Ceremony, which took place in an online format on the networks social Wines of Portugal, on the 21st of May, at the Convento de Jesus, in Setúbal.
